### What needle gauge fits insulin pens used for peptide research?

All four PreppinPeppers pens (Gansulin, V1, V2, V3) take universal 28G to 33G screw-on pen needles. A higher gauge number means a thinner needle.

### Do Gansulin pen needles need to be bought separately?

Yes. Needles are not included in any pen or kit. We do not sell them, so source universal 28G to 33G screw-on needles yourself.

### How do I do an air check on the Gansulin pen?

Set 1 or 2 units, hold the needle pointing up, and press until a drop shows. On a 300-unit cartridge that is 0.01 to 0.02 ml.

### How many units can priming a needle use up?

If no drop appears, the step may be repeated before the needle is changed, and each repeat uses more units. That can use up to 10 units, which is 0.1 ml.

### How much liquid stays in the cartridge on the Gansulin pen?

When the dial stops, about 3.7 mm of liquid remains, roughly 0.27 ml or 27 units on a 3 ml cartridge. The needle holds a little more.

### Do these pens work with standard 3 ml cartridges?

Any standard 3 ml (ISO 13926) cartridge fits physically. Our cartridges use the 11 mm long plunger, and plunger height decides whether the unit scale reads true.
