- Why do researchers protect human insulin from heat and freezing?
- A 2023 Cochrane review reports that health authorities stress human insulin's temperature sensitivity and advise protecting it from heat and freezing. That finding is about human insulin only.
- How do I match a 3 ml cartridge to a pen before packing a case?
- Check the plunger height. Our clear and amber 3 ml cartridges use the 11 mm long plunger that all four pens are built for. A shorter, roughly 8 mm plunger is a different format, and a wrong pairing mis-measures.
- Can I check plunger height through a clear or amber cartridge?
- Yes. On both clear and amber 3 ml cartridges the rubber plunger is visible through the glass, so you can measure its height from outside before the cartridge goes into the case.
- Which PreppinPeppers pens are built for the 11 mm long plunger?
- All four: the Gansulin, V1, V2 and V3 pens are built for the 11 mm long plunger on standard 3 ml (300-unit) glass cartridges.
- What is the difference between a pen case and a pen cooler?
- A case holds and organizes the pen and cartridges. A cooler is for temperature control of what you carry. Some benches use both, each for its own job.
- Does a pen come with cartridges?
- No. Pens do not include cartridges, pen needles or bacteriostatic water unless a kit says so. The Gansulin pen includes a zip case.
