The Gansulin pen is an all-metal, precision click-dial instrument for standard 3 ml (300-unit) glass cartridges. Where the market default is disposable plastic, this is a machined metal chassis built to be kept: one audible, tactile click per unit, from 1 to 60 units, with a unit counter window you can read at a glance. How the Gansulin pen works
- Load. Unscrew the cartridge holder from the body, seat a standard 3 ml glass cartridge, then screw the holder back until it clicks.
- Set. Turn the dial to the number of units you want. The counter window shows the setting; each unit clicks audibly and tangibly.
- Correct (if needed). Turn the dial backwards to reduce a setting without dispensing anything. The overdraw interlock also stops the dial past what remains in the cartridge.
- Dispense. Pressing the button releases the spring-loaded mechanism, which advances the plunger by exactly the amount set — one firm, full travel, every time.
- Reload. Swap in a fresh standard 3 ml cartridge as needed. The pen is fully reusable; nothing about it is single-use.

What is a Gansulin pen?
A reusable, metal-bodied click-dial pen made by Tonghua Dongbao. It was designed as an insulin pen, and unlike a prefilled pen it takes standard 3 ml (300-unit) glass cartridges you load yourself. The research community adopted it as a precision liquid-dispensing tool because the dial meters in 1-unit steps and the cartridges are a common, non-proprietary format. We sell it as laboratory hardware for research, educational and demonstration use only.
Is the Gansulin pen accurate?
The manufacturer states the pen's accuracy conforms to ISO 11608-1, the standard covering needle-based injection systems, in the official Gansulin Pen manual. In handling terms: the dial moves in 1-unit (0.01 ml) steps with an audible click and a tactile detent for each unit, it can be turned back to reduce a setting without dispensing, and it will not dial past the volume left in the cartridge.

Gansulin pen vs Convipen — what is the difference?
Both take standard 3 ml glass cartridges and standard screw-on pen needles. The Gansulin pen is a click-dial pen: you dial the count from 1 to 60 units, one audible click per unit, then press the button and a spring-loaded mechanism advances the plunger by exactly that count. What is the Gansulin autopen?
The same device. The Gansulin pen is a click-dial pen with spring-loaded push-button delivery: you dial the count, press the button, and the pen advances the plunger by that count in one movement. Do you sell replacement dial springs for the Gansulin pen?
No, we don't sell dial springs or any other internal pen parts separately for the Gansulin pen. Our pens ship as complete units, and the only user-replaceable part is the 3 ml glass cartridge, which you simply reorder as needed. If the dial on your Gansulin stops clicking or advancing, that's the internal mechanism rather than something serviceable in the field, so contact us with your order number and we'll tell you what we can do. If a pen arrives faulty or damaged in transit, we replace or refund it at no cost when you reach out within 7 days of delivery with photos.
STORAGE & HANDLING
The pen is a mechanical instrument: keep it clean and dry at room temperature, protected from dust, moisture and direct sunlight. Do not leave it in a hot car and do not freeze it. With a filled cartridge seated, keep the pen below 86°F (30°C), per the manufacturer. The included zip case protects the dose mechanism in storage and transport.

Cartridge and pen compatibility
One cartridge for every pen we sell. The Gansulin, V1, V2 and V3 pens all take the same standard 3 ml (300-unit) glass cartridge with the 11 mm long plunger, the one we sell: about 11.6 mm outer diameter, 62 to 63 mm long, 8 mm crimp neck. Clear and amber cartridges are dimensionally identical; only the glass differs.
Other brands' cartridges in our pens: any standard 3 ml glass cartridge with the 11 mm long plunger (stopper) fits. 3 ml cartridges with the shorter, about 8 mm plunger are a different format, and the two look identical from the outside, so check the plunger height before buying cartridges elsewhere.
Our cartridges in other pens: third-party reusable pens built for the standard 3 ml cartridge format, such as an 80-unit NEST-style pen or a HumaPen Luxura-type 3 ml pen, are designed around the same glass dimensions, but each is built for one plunger height and we have not tested those pens ourselves. Confirm that the pen specifies a 3 ml, 11 mm long-plunger cartridge.
Needles: the pens accept standard screw-on pen needles. Needles are not included and we do not sell them.
