- What is different about amber cartridges?
- Only the glass. Amber Type I borosilicate filters out UV and most visible light below about 450 nm. Dimensions, stopper, cap and pen fit are identical to our clear 3 ml cartridge.
- Which pens do these cartridges fit?
- Any standard cartridge pen built around the 3 ml / 300-unit format, including the Gansulin pen and the V1, V2, and V3 reconstitution pens. No proprietary lock-in.
- When should I choose amber over clear?
- When a filled cartridge will spend time in the light: on a bench, near a window, or in a travel case. Clear glass lets you inspect contents more easily; amber trades a little visibility for built-in light protection.
- How much does each cartridge hold?
- 3 ml, which reads as 300 units on a U-100 scale.
- How are they packaged?
- Individually sealed in self-sealing sterilization pouches with EO and steam process indicators. As with everything we sell, they are offered for research use and are not sold as sterile medical devices.
