What the research community gets wrong about the Epithalon and GHK-Cu pairing
- Treating both peptides as the same at the bench. Epithalon is a plain four-amino-acid peptide. GHK-Cu carries a bound copper atom. That copper changes how the sample looks and how it reacts, so the two do not always dissolve or store the same way.
- Reading a blue or purple tint as contamination. The copper complex in GHK-Cu is naturally colored. A tint by itself is not proof that a sample has gone bad, and judging quality by clarity alone can point you in the wrong direction.
- Assuming a shared cartridge is harmless. Copper can interact with other compounds and with reducing agents. Putting both powders in one cartridge is a variable to record and watch, not a safe default.
- Confusing research topics with bench outcomes. Epithalon has been studied in telomerase and circadian work, and GHK-Cu in skin and matrix remodeling (see the sources below). Those are things the literature examines in cells and models, not effects your vials produce or that you can measure at your bench.
- Overestimating shelf life once mixed. Reconstituted peptide solutions are not stable for weeks at room temperature. Both need cold storage and have a short beyond-use window after mixing.
