Klotho
Klotho is a research reference peptide composed of 1,012 amino acids (full alpha-Klotho precursor, human). Structural class: Type I single-pass transmembrane protein; extracellular domain shed proteolytically to generate circulating sKlotho; KL1 (~549 aa) and KL2 (~476 aa) are the two extracellular glycosidase-like domains. Reported molecular weight: ~130 kDa (full-length transmembrane form); ~65 kDa (soluble KL1 domain, shed form). Listed for research and educational reference only.
