Gansulin all-metal reusable click-dial pen

Pen vs. syringe

A syringe asks you to read a graduation line by eye, every time. The pen counts for you.

Syringe Gansulin pen
How the volume is set Pull the plunger to a printed line and judge it by eye Turn the dial: one audible click per unit, read the number in the counter window
Smallest step Depends on the syringe size and how well you can see the line 1 unit (0.01 ml), the same on every dose
Set too much Push some back out and re-read the line Dial back. Nothing is dispensed while you correct
Not enough left You find out mid-draw The dial physically stops at what the cartridge still holds
What gets thrown away The whole syringe, every time Only the cartridge. The metal pen is refilled indefinitely

Three things the mechanism does for you

interlock

Can't overdraw

The dial physically stops when the dose you set exceeds what's left in the cartridge. If it won't turn, the cartridge can't cover it. The mechanism does the checking.

correction

Dial back, waste nothing

Set too much? Turn the knob back, down to the 1-unit minimum. The dose corrects without dispensing a drop. No purging, no lost material.

format

Standard 3 ml cartridges

Takes the universal 3 ml (300-unit) glass cartridge format. Fill it, seat it, prime it. No proprietary consumables, no lock-in.

Start with the complete kit

The pen on its own still needs cartridges and a diluent before it can do anything. The kit is the three things in one order, and it clears the free-shipping line.

Questions people ask before ordering

What does one unit on the dial mean?

One click is one unit, and one unit is 0.01 ml of whatever is in the cartridge. Sixty units is 0.6 ml, the maximum for a single dispense. The counter window shows the number you have dialed.

Does it come with needles?

No. The pen takes standard screw-thread pen needles, which are widely available. We do not include or sell them.

Which cartridges fit?

Any standard 3 ml (300-unit) glass pen cartridge. The kit ships with five clear ones; we also sell 10-packs in clear and amber glass.

What is bacteriostatic water for?

It is the standard diluent used in laboratories to reconstitute lyophilised material. The kit includes one 30 ml vial (Pfizer Hospira, USP) so the first setup is complete on day one.
